to SiL tests 2025 - 2026
All our competitive tests in English, Mathematics, Science , Digital literacy and English for Years 1 to 9 (Key Stages 1 to 3), are based on the same ideals and offer great value to schools and parents alike.
These assessments are collectively known as STEM—Science, Technology, English, and Mathematics. They are purposefully designed to equip students with essential skills for success in the 21st century, fostering innovation, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Each test is:
- Age appropriate and challenging, designed to test the most able of students
- Designed by graduates of the University of Oxford.
- Aligned with the National Curriculum for England (British Curriculum).
- Available for use in paper or online formats.
- Hand marked in the UK, providing students with detailed feedback.
- Marked so that the student receives a certificate and feedback on strengths and areas for development.
- Designed so that schools to receive feedback on cohort strengths and areas to focus on for each year group.
- Linked to affordable pricing, ensuring as many students as possible can participate.
Our Competitive Tests

Sil English Test May 2026
Our SiL competitive tests cover the topics of Reading, Grammar and Vocabulary for Years 1 through to 9 ( Key Stages 1 to 3).
The test will take place in May 2026.
Discounts are available to parents who sign up through schools before 1st February 2026.
Students who were awarded a medal in 2025 will receive an extra discount this year.

Sil Mathematics Test November 2025
Our Mathematics Test is designed to test a student's mastery of mathematics in the following key areas:
- Number,
- Shape and Space (Geometry).
- Measurement
- Handling Data.
- Algebra
All the tests are age appropriate.
The test will take place in November 2025.
Discounts are available to parents who sign up through schools before 1st October 2025.

SiL Science Tests November 2025
Our Science Test is designed to test a student's mastery of Science in the following key areas:
Key Stages 1 and 2
- Living things and their habitats
- Animals including humans
- Evolution and inheritance
- Properties and changes of materials
- Earth and space
- Forces, Light and Electricity.
Key Stage 3
Physics, Chemistry and Biology
All the tests are age appropriate.
The test will take place in November 2025.

SiL Digital Literacy Tests November 2025
Our Digital Literacy Test is designed to test a student's mastery of of the subject in the following key areas:
Key Topics in Digital Literacy
- Basic Computer Skills and Internet Navigation
- Cybersecurity Awareness
- Online Communication
- Data Literacy and Digital Content Creation
- Digital Citizenship
- Accessibility and Inclusivity
All the tests are age appropriate.
The test will take place in November 2025.
